Group 3: Individuals and Societies

Subjects in this group offer students the chance to gain understanding of the way in which societies function, the role of the individual in society and the systems that underpin our world. We offer History and Economics as taught in school but, in addition, we are excited to be working with Pamoja, an authorized provider of IB courses delivered through an online platform. This initiative means we are able to offer our students a wide variety of courses especially in this subject group making the DP more accessible. Through Pamoja we have the possibility of offering Business and Management and Psychology. All students must take one subject from this group but may take an additional subject; many of our students are choosing this option. Students are assessed through a combination of external tasks including examinations and internally assessed tasks including for example a portfolio.
