MYP (Middle Years Programme)
Our Middle Years Programme (MYP) offers a transformative educational experience for students aged 11 to 16, bridging the crucial years of early adolescence and preparing them for the challenges of the Diploma Programme (DP).

Global Contexts

Central to the MYP curriculum are global contexts, which provide different lenses through which students explore real-world issues and make connections between their learning and the world around them.

These contexts include identities and relationships, orientation in space and time, personal and cultural expression, scientific and technical innovation, globalization and sustainability, and fairness and development.

MYP Approaches to Learning

Approaches to Learning

Just as in the PYP, Wellspring emphasizes the development of Approaches to Learning (ATL) in the MYP.

Students are equipped with essential skills such as communication, thinking, research, social skills and self-management, empowering them to become self-directed learners and responsible global citizens.

Assessment for Learning

Assessment in the MYP goes beyond traditional testing methods.

At Wellspring, MYP employs a variety of assessment strategies, including project-based assessments, oral presentations, and collaborative tasks, to evaluate students’ understanding and skills development across subject areas.
