In the IB PYP, Taking Action means students apply their learning to make positive, responsible changes in their school, community, or world, moving from understanding to doing. It's an essential part of the inquiry cycle, demonstrating deep understanding through student-initiated contributions, which can be big or small, visible or quiet, and often involves participation, advocacy, or lifestyle choices.

MYP Service as Action seeks to develop caring members of the community who act to make a positive difference to the lives of others and their environment. Service as action requires students to engage with their local community through community or personal projects and provides opportunities for students to explore, design, implement, and reflect on their efforts to positively impact their local environment.
Through service as action experiences, students learn the value of community participation and gain a deeper understanding of the issues facing their immediate surroundings.

CAS in IB stands for Creativity, Activity, Service, a mandatory core component of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) that requires students to engage in experiences outside academics to foster personal and social growth, develop key skills like leadership and empathy, and promote a balanced lifestyle.
It's not graded but requires reflection on achieving learning outcomes through hands-on involvement in creative pursuits, physical exertion, and community service.
